Journalism would be good with that. Also, business is good with almost any major, since it's the backbone of everything.

People who work in communications and public relations will benefit from most minor coursework. You should decide what specialized area of public relations you want to work in i.e. the music industry, product promotion, image consulting, sports.

The more diverse your education, the more areas you will have expertise in. Public relations requires a lot of hands-on real world experience, problem solving skills great skills with people. I suggest volunteering at public relations firm for a few months. See what it's all about.

I suggest thinking of a minor in a field that you would choose if you absolutely hated public relations and wanted to change careers after a few years in the business. That way you don't box yourself into one career.

If you couldn't do public relations, what would you want to do? We'll call it Career B. If public relations didn't work out, would Career B require that you have a degree in that field? If so, gather some credit in that field now, just in case.

Another suggestion: Write up your own biography and/or resume. Is it impressive? Would you be proud to hand it to someone and confidently ask them to trust you in promoting them or their product? If not, what would make it more impressive? What can you put on that piece of paper to make that person confident that you will do a great job? Answer that and you will have the answer to your question.

Minors are not important, but the accounting can be very helpful. What is important is that you get a good job and work 204 years before applying for an MBA program. MBA programs prefer students with 2-3 years work experience after the first degree. Some accept students right out of college if they have good grades and a high GMAT score. Some MBA programs are designed specifically for new college graduates without work experience. But in those programs you don't get the benefit of learning from other students who have work experience. A lot of valuable learning takes place through class interaction. Also when you graduate your job offers will be about the same as a business undergraduate gets because you have no work experience, and you've been two years out of your undergraduate field so it's hard to get work in that area. Explore the Official MBA Guide. It's a comprehensive free public service with more than 2,000 MBA programs listed worldwide. It allows you to search for programs by location (US, Europe, Far East, etc.), by concentration (finance, marketing, aviation management, health management, accounting, etc.), by type of program (full-time, distance learning, part-time, executive, and accelerated), and by listing your own criteria and preferences to get a list of universities that satisfy your needs. Schools report their accreditation status, tuition cost, number of students, class sizes, program length, and a lot of other data. Schools provide data on entrance requirements, program costs, program characteristics, joint degrees, and much more. You can use the Guide to contact schools of your choice, examine their data, visit their web site, and send them pre applications. You can see lists of top 40 schools ranked by starting salaries of graduates, GMAT scores, and other criteria.
