Is petroleum engineering a growing field or would it be a profitable field to choose. I mean in terms of job demand for this field, how does it stand within the next 10-20 years.

Thanks

I'm sure it's a safe field, and even if petroleum slows down, engineers are needed everywhere. A PE could easily get a job in all different types of engineering jobs. A degree in engineering (of any specialization) is one of the best possible undergrad degrees you can get.

It is probably a safe degree, and easy to find a job, but make sure it is something you enjoy.
