Is college really necessary to have a good life? Why is it pushed so hard on high schoolers that college is the only option? Can't we be sucessful without it?

Specifically, I am one quarter Japanese, but I have never been to Japan and had a strictly Caucasian upbringing. What would I mark as my ethnicity?

I'm a third year BBA student. My GPA now is 2.2 but I need a 3.1 GPA to go graduate school. Is it possible to do so? Do i still have hope? I know studying hard is a must. But besides studying hard, is there any studying skill that could help me out with my problem?
Thanks alot for your help

Do professors prepare their lectures a couple of months ahead of next semester? How often do they practice their speeches if they do? And do they get nervous as well?

My kid wants a big school, but doesn't care whether it's in the city or country. Planning on premed/biosciences as a major. Got into all of these schools, but can't make a decision even after college visits (loved UCONN, but the nonresident cost is too high). She originally was thinking about pharmacy, but when I pointed out that Ohio U and PSU don't have pharmacy she didn't want to drop them from the list. AAARRRGH. Can you give some info on these schools that would help weed down the list? If you go to any of them, would you recommend your school to her?

I already visited the webiste and I am a freshman finishing my first college year at an all sceince private school. The thing is that although academics are good, I don't feel I am being made into a well rounded individual. College is an experience, not something to bore us or make us feel like robots. Will this trade jeopardize my chances of getting into a good med school even if I do really well????

Has anyone ever gotten a degree online? If so, were you able to get a job easily? Was your degree recognized? Was it a good experience? If so, which school did you attend and what degree program?
