It likely means that it is a very popular major and they gave the available spaces to the applicants with the highest credentials (GPA, Test Scores). They are saying that you could be accepted into a different major. If it is the college that you really want to go to you could always apply under a different major and change it later on.

You have options here. You can choose another major, and be accepted to that college. Later on, after a couple of semesters, you can apply to change your major to the one in which you intended - after you earn some good grades and have a good gpa and what not. Basically, when you start taking college courses, your high school credits begin to matter less, and not influence your college career. You could also look into attending a community college for two semesters (which I would suggest). it would be cheaper, and you can take the basic core courses, english, math, government, etc. before you head off to the university. You will most likely be able to earn good grades and then you can reapply to the university into the college that you had intended on.
The college just wants to know that you are capable, and that you can do well in their program. Get some good college credits and a good gpa and then get into the major you want.
Good luck!

Probably means you are accepted into the college just not for the major that you want. You may have to go to the college as a general studies student for awhile. Once you have your GPA high enough, you can change your major to what you wanted in the first place. Here at our city college, you usually get accepted into "university college" when you first apply to the school and then after a few semesters of school you can apply to the specialty school of your major for acceptance.

You were rejected. However, if you applied for a different major, you may be accepted.
Many colleges have minimum scores for certain schools but not for others. Just try a different major.

No...you were not rejected per'se. They simply feel that you would struggle a bit in your selected area of study. For instance, if you applied for a major in Biology under the terms of Pre-med you would obviously not be accepted with a 3.0 GPA and a 1400 on your SAT's. Just reconsider what you want to do. They are obviously still interested in you for some other reasons...don't give up!

You were rejected from the program that you initially specified. Don't sweat it. Apply for a different major (something a little less competitive). During your first year take your general ed classes. Do well, and then reapply for the major that you are interested in.

specific there some colleges in which you would be able to take those varieties of instructions, yet they are oftentimes the community college ones. 4 12 months college ones require a kind, in all probability funds to maintain on with, and essays. I had taken a cake adorning type as quickly as at a community college. And specific, I did meet my better half in school. It grew to become into our freshman 12 months at Michigan State college. we are meant for another!

You need to apply to another major. That particular school will decide whether to admit you or not.
