Higher Education (University +) - November 2006

my boyfriend is a senior in High school, im a JR, weve been dating a little over 3 years. He has a job and wants to move in an apartment as soon as he graduates this year. Well all of the seniors have sent in their college applications except him, he wants to be a cop. (i give him some credit-at least he knows what he wants to do) when I talk about it he gets kinda mad n just says "dont worry about it" how can I get him to get a move on and start looking at colleges??

okay, so I am having some conflict about some college issues. I did my sat, for the second time, this weekend and am not sure If i will do spectacular on it and I don't wanna take any chances cause my application to my top university is due jan, so i was wondering if i should apply for the act in december since people say it is much easier. I need responce as soon as possible because I need to sign in tonight if am going to be thinking on taking the act. Thanks in advance.

I live in california but I want to go to go to school in Illinois where my dad is a relalive.He pays taxes, so doesnt that mean I should be able to go to their state schools? Do I really have to attend high school in that state? If I were to move to illinois for the last couple months of highschool (maybe 6 months and graduate there) would that be long enough for me to be considered a resident and only have to pay resident fees for Illinois state colleges?

I'm taking precalc this semester. Is taking Calculus this coming semester on TTh for 2.5 hrs better than taking it the following semester and having it every day for 50 min.? I'm a little worried about waiting until the following semester because I might forget everything I learned in precalc but I also don't want to have Calc for only 2 days a week because if I miss just one class, I'm gonna be screwed.

The only requirement is that it has to be an expository essay. She has given us free range, but I just don't know what to pick!! I thought about the war and global warming, but I would really like it to be unique. Any ideas? It's going to be about 1500 words long, so I need something with a lot of good credible sources. I recently began a sign language course this year and have also decided that i am going to carry out a dissertation on it. Sign language has always intriguid me and now i am delving into its syntax i.e sentence structure. My supervisor is very excited about it but i am finding it hard to do a literature review on it. My question which will be tweaked is to assess the use of wh-questions in sign language through second language aquistion.
