what college would be best for these categories?

i want to study to have a carreer in: music, engineering, and surgeon. my parent say theyll pay it off if i go to harvard. is that good for those? any other great colleges for those categories u kno of???

You have to go to medical school to become a surgeon. Before you do that, you have to get a college degree. So -- you don't need a school that is good for all three.

That being said, a double major in Engineering and Music is not a good preparation for medical school. Therefore, you ought to adjust your goals.

Most engineering schools (MIT, Cal Tech, Georgia Tech) are not particularly good at music. However, UC-Berkeley is one of the best engineering schools in the country and also has an excellent music school.

Harvard is a great university. MIT, Cal Tech and Berkeley have better engineering schools. Lots of colleges have better music schools.

If you want to be a surgeon, you have to study pre-med as an undergrad in college. Then you have to go to med school. Harvard is pretty good for those catagories, but I think UC Berkeley, UCLA, MIT are better for engineering. Harvard has one of the best med schools in the country. UCSF, Duke University, Stanford, Columbia University (NY),UCLA, UCSD, University of Michigan--Ann Arbor, UPenn, John Hopkins University, Cornell are pretty great also.

Not Harvard, for all three. I suggest you get a better idea of what you want to do then find a college to fit. Or go to Harvard for a year to get the basics down since most degree programs start the same.
