I am looking at enrolling with Penn Foster, after going over many other distance-learning schools. I know to look at accreditation, both regionally & nationally, which PF does qualify for. I have read over several pages of complaints filed on many schools, and PF has quite a few less than other schools, but that doesn't do enough to completely alleviate my worries. I have looked thru the yahoo group-page for the school, but that is not much help, as it's mostly a chat-page for students. Here at Yahoo Answers, I've read just about every entry, and still I have uncertainty.
I am looking at enrolling for the Associate's for Criminal Justice. I want to talk to anyone who might be in this program, or has graduated. I want to know if the degree carries any weight, especially when using it to step up to forensic sciences. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Some people say Mesopotamia, but what about Egypt? I mean we don't even know how far back egypt goes. So can't we assume that because it is so old we don't know how old it is that it would be the oldest.

I am asking because my college professors says that scholars intentionally obscure the fact that Civilization began in Africa (by Africans of course). I did some research and apparently this is true

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civilization#Sumer_3500.E2.80.932334_BCE

now why do some scholars say civilizations started in Sumer/Akkai whil other say Ethiopia/Egypt?

I actually like reading, if its not boring and it is interesting. College books are boring and the Chapters are soooo long. How do I make myself focus and get serious. I've had 3 test so far and passed them. I got by those through reviewing my notes. But I know that sooner or later Im gonna have to crack that book open. Everytime I attempt I can get no further than a page or 2. The good thing is most of my teachers give quizzes and tests from the notes, but I know it wont be this sweet with every teacher. Also, send your MySpace link, so that I may further procrastinate.

NYU is one of the colleges I want to apply for once I am a senior in high school. Right now, I'm a freshman.

I want to get into NYU (if not Ivy League) because it is a GREAT school for Law and Business.

As of now, I am in all Honors classes except for one CP (but I am taking Geometry CP in freshman year).

I am going to join basketball and track.

I am in debate club, interact club (community service), and ERASE (eliminating racism and sexism).

I also plan on joining the student council for President.

As of now, what else should I be doing?

Do you have any good tips?

Should I already be practicing for the SATs?
(took them twice already though- 7th & 8th grade)

ANY GOOD ADVICE IS WELCOMED!

Thanks!

Hi. I'm going to be attending USC in southern california beginning the fall 2007. I need to choose a major and am highly considering Political Science? I would love to hear peoples suggestions on this major and whether or not it is a good choice. Also, possibly jobs that a political science major can obtain. I also had creative writing in mind but am leaning on the poli sci side. I would love to hear from everyone what they are majoring in college right now and also those that have already graduated and where your degree has taken you. Thank you so much.
