I am a Freshman in hightschool. What courses and extra-curricular activities should i take? WHat is the academy like? Lastly, what is the chance of getting in?

First off, learn to spell.

You need to be nominated by one of your state's senators. If your grades are good and you've got some breadth of extra-curricular activities, you have a shot.

See if they still offer the Summer Scientific Seminar. It's 2 weeks at the Academy and will give you a feel for the area.

Start kissing congressional butt now. You'll need a letter from your congressman to get in. Start writing letters to him now. The squeeky weel gets the grease.

Be active in community activities and join the Civil Air Patrol. That will improve your chances.

You could get into spelling bees as an extra-curricular activity.

thr air force is really hard to get into if you can't spell.
