Well the father should be charged with abuse for kicking his son and mental abuse for calling him a wimp.
But Romeo was stealing. Theft under 2000.00 does not matter how small the theft. Also he was trespassing. They could probably throw in mischief as well.
The law of God says not to steal or to covet what your neighbours have...he was doing both.
But since he has to live with that father - give him a break!

both in my book becuase romeo did not have permission to be in the nieghbors yard then he was tresspassing, and since he took something of value even though it be only an apple it would be considered theft, although i would doubt the nieghbors would file charges. socially i would say that since romeo did not ask for his nieghbors permission to pick apples from the tree, also i would say that since david did a poor job of discipline with romeo i would say that david i am assuming is romeos father needs to teach romeo values such as honor and respect and make him return the apples from the tree and appoligize to his nieghbors if he does not learn these important elssons of being respectful and honorable then i would say that david has also failed socially
