I applied for financial aid and was turned down because what my husband and I made in 2005. We haven't had any income for the 2006 tax year so I asked them to review it again so I can go this summer. I just received an email from FAFSA website saying that changes have been made from the school I am applying to. My EFC (estimated family contribution) was 3975(to high) and the school changed it to 1549. I didn't know if anyone knows if this low enough to get me qualified. The school said from the time all the paperwork from them is done it would be another 2 weeks. There's no way I can stay sane until then. Could anyone please help me try to figure this out. HELP!

I am currently going to college and am basically going for free because I got grants that covered the total cost. Does anyone know if this has to be counted as income on my taxes? I don't really want to owe anything.

at 22, he doesn't think i can live in chicago and go to school on my own (also my health insurance is getting ready to run out); just spent the last 4 years there getting my degree; want to go back because I fell in love with the place and because of the networking, resources, and sheer size and speed of it all; come from a small town where the biggest things going are a casino resort and the superwalmart; went to college or a full scholarship so i have very little debt. how do i explain that i'm prepared to do this

I've had to withdraw from school three semesters. My school's tuition is entirely too high. My plans are to transfer to another school which is cheaper. My problem is I can't transfer until my balance is paid off. What should I do? I know many people might tell me to get a job, but I have one. School is a top priority but so is my family's bills. Bill won't pay themselves. I'm a 21 year old female, does anyone know any grants or programs that can help me out? Please let me know, I will be very grateful.

Thank you so much for taking the time out to real this LONG message lol.

3/4" margins... How much is that? And how to do that?

2007-01-30 16:08:46 · 3 answers · asked by Anonymous

So... I'm 22, I have some gen. ed credits under my belt (I'm a sophomore) and I finally declared a major. The college I want to attend will end up costing about $40,000 - which really isn't that horrendous... but more than I can just write a check for (even in 18 week installments)... make that $57,000 if I want my masters.

I don't qualify for financial aid. I work full time and will continue to do so through out the rest of my education. Yes, I can apply for a loan, but I would like to know if anyone has any other suggestions that they've heard, read, or done.

Thank you!
