What's a tuition?

So i'm looking at the FIDM website (the fashion school i want to go to) and I clicked on tuition and it's giving me all these numbers LOL and it gives me a total of $20,900 for merchandise marketing, is that how much you have to pay to major in that subject?

the course instruction is the tuition. you may also have books, lab fees, student union fees, dorm fees etc. in some schools the tuition covers everything, but in a university, tuition is just for the course and doesn't include books, lab fees, etc.
in some locales, university tuition is based on hours whether quater , semster etc, and each course is a given number of hours. for example a local junior college charges $16 per semester hour. some courses are three hours and others are four, and then have a lab which also has a fee.three hour corses then are 48 doillars for the semester for a 3 hour cours while a four hour course is 64 dolars per semester with an additional fee for the use of the lab as four hour courses are usually sciences and require a three hour lab each week. the rest of the time is three hours attendance in class. the lab is only one hour credit for a three hour lab once a week. as you can see tuition alone for a 15 hour course load in a semester is very expensive and has to be paid before classes begin. the other fees and also must be paid in ad vance. the books are usually purchased after the first day of class since the instructor tells you which books are required.

Also be sure to check what all it says it is including. Some schools under "tuition costs" will give the cost of just the educations, where some have been known to also list the estimated cost of text books, on campus housing, food, etc. If it isn't specific, you can always call the college to ask.

A tuition is the money paid for you to go to the fashion school u want to go to. The numbers given can be given for the tuition of each month, or the yearly payment.
