I an only 21, but haven't been a dependent of my parents since I graduated high school, and I don't have any contact with them. How can I fill out this without needing their tax info. I've been putting off school for a long time because of this but want to go back now.

I heard about it when I was a junior but didn't really care for it because I wasn't a senior. But now I would like to know what it is called. does anyone know it? It's basically a scholarship that gives away money if u have brown eyes.

My son got a criminal tresspass charge, he is 17 it is a summary offense. He plead guilty and paid the fine. I am curious to know if this will effect his chances of getting some finicial aid for college. Nothing was damaged, what it was is a group of teens, (approx 50) went to a plant parking to watch a fight that never even happened. The cops showed up and charged them all with tresspassing. No damage to anything or no fighting happened!

I am currently answering FAFSA questions and I am on this part :

Housing, food, and other living allowances paid to members of the military, clergy, and others (including cash payments and cash value of benefits).

How do I determine what to put there ? My husband is in the military and I am a dependent . Do I put our housing allowance ? If yes do I multiply that by 12 months to get the total and put it in or just put the monthly housing allowance ? Please help ....

One of my best friends here at college needs help. He owes his next payment of $5,000 to the college by the end of this month (March), or he can't complete the semester and will have to drop out. We're praying that we can get enough money to keep him here in college. He's a biochemistry major, and I don't want to see him lose his dreams.
Any ideas on how to get this money?

I already graduated and was wondering if there are scholarships out there that let you apply after you have graduated and the money can be used to pay off student loans.

I am a registered Nurse and have tons of loans... just curious.

I asked this question about 20 minutes ago, but am very desperate for an answer as soon as possible (no one is available to speak with me at the university right now as it is closed). Okay, so here goes (and I really appreciate whoever may read all of this and try to respond):
I am a full-time college student. I have already received grants from the government to cover this year's enrollment fees. I am also filing taxes stating that I am a full-time student. There are two months left in the semester and I want to drop one of my classes that I am going to fail, thus taking away my full-time student status and deeming me a part-time student for the rest of this semester.
The question: Will this affect my government loans? They can't take the money back that they have already awarded me (I'm assuming), but will there be some sort of penalty? Also, will this affect my tax return? Do I need to mention that I was a part-time student for two months? Does it even matter?

THANK YOU! :D

I am a full-time college student. I have already received my grant money from the government for my enrollment fees for this year. I am also filing taxes on which I state that I am a full-time student. I am in a class this semester (we are about half-way through) that I have no hope of passing, and I would like to drop it before Thursday so that I can receive a grade of "W" (it's better than an "F"), although I will not get a refund. If I drop this class, I will no longer be considered a full-time student.
My question is: if I am no longer considered a full-time student for the rest of this semester, will the government find out and if so, will it affect me in any way? They can't take the money back, right? And will it affect my tax return? I have been a full-time student up until now, so would I even need to mention that I am dropping this class (I'll only be a "part-time" student for two months)?

I am trying desperately to finish my bachelors degree but it is taking forever since I cannot afford the cost of daycare for 2 toddlers while I go full time. I was working full time but ended up quitting b/c 90% of what I made paid for daycare and I was still only attending school part time. I remember someone telling me once that there was a federal or maybe state of FL program that helps with the cost - but I cannot for the life of me find any information on it. Is there anyway to get some help?? It is so frustrating that I am considering just dropping out all together - at the rate I am going it will take me another 4 years to finish 2 yrs worth of credits.

I know I can probably order it or something but I'm afraid it will take a long time. Which I asked my mom if she could do that but she’s such a procrastinator and keeps saying it will take a long time. She really frustrates me giving me a little bit of help is to much of a pain for her. Is there somewhere that would keep it on file locally or something ?
