There's more to it than "how much Indian blood" you have. You will need to be an enrolled member of a federally-recognized tribe and able to prove your membership with a "band card," birth records, or affadavit from the tribal official.

The criteria for scholarships will vary by donor. It should also be noted that there is no promise of full scholarships. For example, according to the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), students with 1/4 Indian blood will be eligible for most scholarships from the BIA. Awards based on Native American heritage will probably come from a variety of sources and range from $400-$5,000. thats a good question, contact a native american org (all of them) and ask for any info/scholarships they know of. each may know different ones...

remember, spread the word about what you are able to find and where... to help others with their schooling also. many people dont know where to begin or how to find this stuff.
