I know I can probably order it or something but I'm afraid it will take a long time. Which I asked my mom if she could do that but she’s such a procrastinator and keeps saying it will take a long time. She really frustrates me giving me a little bit of help is to much of a pain for her. Is there somewhere that would keep it on file locally or something ?

Fill out your FAFSA anyhow. Just guess at the answer. Do this now. When you are able to obtain the information then go back and change it online. You will not get penalized for this although it may change your award information slightly. FAFSA processes applications by the first submission date.
This will allow you to be eligible for more money. You can always go back and change later.

Did she do her own taxes? If not, her tax preparer may have a copy on file. If she did it through one of the programs available (Turbo-tax, Tax-cut) she may have saved it to her computer and you could reprint it. By the way, if you are just doing your FAFSA, make sure you are doing it for the right year. 07/08 FAFSA requires your mom's 2006 tax return, not 2005. You would use the 2005 for an 06/07 FAFSA.

If she paid somebody to prepare it for her, then they should have kept a copy. If not, then I'm afraid you will have to contact IRS. They may be able to give you the information you need over the phone. They will only talk to her, of course.
Their phone number is 1-800-829-1040.

If they won't give you the information over the phone, then you will need to order a copy of the return from them. I'm not sure how long that usually takes to receive. I would guess a few weeks. :(

I think you need the current tax information to fill out FAFSA. Ask her for her new tax papers, which would be taxes for 2006.
