I applied for a student loan back in early August, and it still hasn't gone through--they keep asking for all these different things, and I'm really worried that it's because my mom has bad credit and she's my cosigner. Can they refuse me my loan because of her mediocre credit? I'm already in college and still need 2,000 for the semester, and I'm getting really worried...and I've learned how much I hate beaurocracy...

There is a school in Minneapolis I want to go to called ipr. It's a 2 year college and I figure it's going to cost me around 45,000 dollars for the tuition, room and board, etc.

I am 18 living with my parents, I have good credit. The school is for audio engineering. There is a wide opportunity of jobs I could get after graduating, doing sound for various tv stations, radio, studio mixing, music production, etc. Would I be able to get a college loan big enough to pay it off? And if I did, do you think it would be unrealistic to try and pay off that kind of money?

I could probably shave off a little bit of with scholar ships, I made b average all through high school...and how do grants work? Halp.

I'm going to be graduating soon, and I'm looking for a few scholarships on the national level. Requirements aren't a problem, I just need a few good ones.

I want to go back to school to get a degree in nursing. I have wanted to be a nurse since 16, the only reason I got my first BS degree in a non-nursing field is because the nursing faculty told me that 2nd degree programs are easier to get in to. Now, I want to go back and get the degree I originally planned on (BSN), but I have been told that I will not be able to qualify for any grants because I already have a degree and will have to rely on loans. Is this true? I live in Nebraska now and my first BS degree is from University of Northern Colorado.

...even if they don't set up a payment plan on the defaulted loans? (The loans have been in default for a few years).

This person is a Texas resident, and lived in Texas when they got the loans.

Again, I am not asking for myself, so please be nice.

I currently live in Louisiana and I really want some help. I don't have child support and Section 8 housing is a mile long to get on. The last one I called said that it would be about 2 or more years before I can even be considered for assistance. Please Help....God Bless!!!

We're pitching in a much as we can but are still falling a bit short... does anyone know who to ask (companies, celebrities, whatever!) that might be able to help us out?
