Yes.

Being married makes you an independent student so that your parents income is no longer reported and considered. Since most young couples make less than their parents, your EFC is lower married.

Also, once married, either of you can claim the state of residence of the other - whichever is most advantageous to you. So if he's in-state but she wasn't, she is now. ☺

Note: FAFSA doesn't provide you with any money. FAFSA is a form used by financial aid professionals to determine how much they should give you. It establishes your eligibility for some need based aid, but the financial aid office gives you that money.

it probably does...you have two incomes coming in, therefore have more money
