I really do. In a large university setting, there are many extracurricular activities. One or two is fine, more will distract from your studies, and that spells disaster.
In a small college, there is less to do, hence more time spent studying.

I think at times there could be but I wouldn't call it a general rule. There may be some large colleges with adequate teachers who have a low drop out rate in some subjects and a poor teacher in other subjects with a high drop out rate or a small college that doesn't have a high drop out rate because of fewer students and teach easier subjects. You should pick a college by the subjects they teach and perhaps the drop out rate in the subject matter you will be studying, and get some DMAE from a health food store - an all natural substance which has been shown over some 20 years to increase memory and concentration - and then go for it.
