I'm a senior and I'm looking for scholarships that are fun or don't require a long and boring essay. Any ideas besides the duct tape, left-handed, and tall people scholarships?

Thanks :]

The easiest scholarships to get typically are located on a list at your high school guidance office. Unfortunately, the most difficult ones to get are web based since more students are searching for them compared to the local ones. These tend to be local in nature compared to nationally based ones. I also recommend utilizing a variety of different sources to locate other scholarships. I will include some other ways to locate college tuition money.

First, complete the FAFSA form. It will qualify you for need based assistance based on your family size and how many are in college at this time. It is based on a percentage formula of your income and savings (at a higher percentage rate) and your parents' income and savings. You should complete this form even if you think your parents make too much money to qualify. This should be completed in January, early February or at the latest the earliest financial aid deadline of all the schools you applied to for consideration. Also, it needs to be completed each year until you graduate from college.

Second, check out the local public library because they have a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web.

Third, search for scholarships based on your ethnicity and religion on Google.com and Yahoo.com.

Fourth, many states have scholarships and grants for students with excellent grades. Check out your high school guidance office for more information.

Finally, join several free membership scholarship search websites. You enter information into a form, and it will search for scholarships based on the information entered into it.

Good luck!

Try Fastweb.com, they tend to have many different scholarships. When I signed up for the site they would sent me a profile of scholarships that I could choose to pursue.

A little of both. When there is stuff that needs to be done I am serious and hard working, but when the job is done I'm fun and easy going.
