What is a semester in college? Does it mean the whole year or somthing? please help and also credits have to do with gettng into a college too? GPA?

Ok heres whats up.

My teacher assigned us this priject to do some kind of weather forcast. it has to be from some specific website done a specific way. i understand that but what i think is outragous is the fact that he said they update like 12 am every day. In other words he wants us to stay up to 12:00 or wake up earlier than we already do, just to do some project for his class. everyone wakes up from ay least 6:30 in the morning(i do but most people wake up 5 am) to get to school. I am not a morning person. I can get like 10 hours of sleep and still not want to wake up at 6 am just to goto school or anything like that.

My moms making me do it because it might be a one time thing which i dont think is fair at all.(its because i stayed up late one time to watch this show and i felt like crap the whole day so im not doing that again).

Do you think its right that i have to prolly wake up early to do his project just because he said so?

I'm doing an essay on evolution vs. creationism for my english class, my standpoint being for evolution. My professor wants us to lean more towards books and academic journals rather than the internet, which is understandable, but she has limited us to only using 2-3 resources. I am a confused college student, I'm 22, and have 69 hours (need 124 to graduate). I recently learned the lesson to live day to day. Albeit I am trying, I still worry about a few things. I was currently en route to receive a degree in Math/Education ( still had the math portion left). After a few months of thinking, I've realized that I cannot stand mathematics.

After the realization, I sought out to find what I was interested in, which is History. I've read there are a dime a dozen History teachers (I reside in Texas).

I don't know what to expect. My mother wants me to stay close to her because my father passed 12 years ago. She is also living with Breast Cancer. I don't think moving out of state is an option.

I'm interested in coffee, teaching (tutoring), history, food (I work at Chili's as an expo), and culture. I don't know where my life is headed, or what to expect. I don't want to setup false hopes.

Can anyone help me with some enlightenment?

I would like to get my graduate degree in psychology. My advisor said it was extremely competitive to get into a graduate school for psychology, as in most only accept 2-8 students a year.
