What does that mean? I'm talking about Loyola Marymount University. It is ranked at 27 for part time and not at all for full time. So does that mean it's still a great program?

I'm a faculty member in LMU's business school, and the reason for this is that we don't have a full-time MBA program at all. While some students may choose to take additional classes and in effect go full-time, our program isn't set up as a two-year, daytime, full-time program.

Well, actually, interesting question. It has no where near the prestige of a program ranked top 30 overall. It's the full time rankings that really influence corporate recruiters.

And know that a lower ranked MBA uni can post quite high on part-time MBA program lists, because most of the top MBA programs don't offer part-time programs at all. There are a few exceptions: NYU and Northwestern come to mind.

So it's a great part-time program, but that does not mean that it ranks up there with Harvard and the like.

Ranked by whom? That's really the question.
