my mom wants this proofread for her...

Enclosed is the check for the amount of the bail. Although I do not agree with the statement that I failed to stop on a red light. When I entered the intersection going on Valencia Blvd. and making a left turn onto McBean the light was yellow at the time, turning red, a second before I finished the turn. My failure
was not stopping on yellow.

The yellow light it only remains yellow for three seconds and that particular intersection is very wide. A left turn requires to go across seven lanes. When others with fewer lanes have the same amount of time or a second more. Just to mention some; Soledad Blvd. and Camp Plenty have two lanes on each side, Soledad and Whites Cyn. have five lanes, and Soledad and Sierra Hwy also have five lanes.

Perhaps a time adjustment is necessary on traffic lights on intersections that have a large number of lanes. This will balance it out and also makes it fair and safer for all drivers

Hi, I'm international student & freshman at community college in CT. Next fall, I want to transfer to 4 year university. I saw RIT has a lot of scholarship for transfer student & international student.

Currently, I'm majoring business finance.
I know RIT is famous for computer enginnering & digital art major, but how about its business school (esp. finance major)?

How's the campus life in RIT esp for international student? (I came from Indonesia)
Is it hard to transfer to RIT? What is the minimun GPA?

My TOEFL CBT score is 253, my SAT I score is 1730/2400 (CR 500, MATH 670, WRTG 560). What are my chances?

Two weeks ago my brother’s teacher mrs. Armstrong told the students to not tell someone to shut up because that is informing that there mouth is stink and to tell someone who is talking too much to be quiet or cut down on the talking. So they had a boy who was speaking too much. Our teacher ms. Armstrong told him to shut up and the boy asked if she told him that to keep quiet or his breath was stink and she replied to him in front of the class that both applied in that case. Is my brother’s teacher being funny or mean?

I have spent the past 20 years working from home for my family business and my family. Now that the business has downsized and the kids are in high school I would like to find a job. I polished up my resume and started applying, I'm college educated and have work experience, but I have not received any response from employers. I'm beginning to think that my age is a factor. Is there some way I can hide my age on my resume? I don't actually give it out, but the dates for my education and experience give it away.

A friend & I at the local bar are always talking about useless facts and stuff and he brought this one up yesterday. He had said he recalled reading/hearing somewhere that the human eyeballs are the only thing that never grows in size as you get older. I joked that my ex-girlfriends would say something different but that's another story...

Anyway, has anyone ever heard of a human body part that never grows in size? Thanks.

My 7 year old has been diagnosed with a CAPD already. We strongly feel that she may also be dyslexic and we do not know where to turn. The scholl has been of NO help at all. They will not offer any services for the CAPD, so we have been seeing private ST/OT therapists for a year and a half.
I have no idea where to turn to get a diagnosis. we live in a pretty rural area in upstate NY. Another school is not an option. All we have is public and Catholic schools...which have no services at all.
All the online info about dyslexia seems vague and there seem to be nothing helpful.

Any help would be great!!

Thanks!!!!

I have to go to IEP meetings and the school sends me paper work the says "Procedural Safeguards For Parents". and the document provides parents of students with disabilities, from birth through age 26, an overview of their educational rights with respect to spec. ed. My daughter has ADHD and has some learning disabilities, 5 years ago she got SSI payments they cut us off because they said she no longer gets ssi because she was not having problems in speech and language anymore, but she still has problems with reading comprehension and math calculations. I live in Michigan, would the laws for being eligible for SSI be different if I were to move to Florida? I plan on moving there in the future.

In my brothers class there was a boy making trouble and our math teacher mrs. armstrong told him he better pay attention and listen to pull up his bad grades. Another boy poked and laughed at him and our teacher mrs. armstrong told him to shut up and stop talking because he is also flunking the course. Is these two insults by my brother's teacher to the two students a funny?

I can not get a straight answer from anyone, so I thought I would try here! I am a Junior majoring in Psych, but am not sure what to do about a masters. I have heard pros and cons about both Psychology and Social Work. I just want to do therapy simple, one on one therapy, hopefully specializing in eating disorders? Any ideas?

I always wondered why American schools don't have a uniform policy. Compared to European countries as well as those in Asia and Australia. Personally, I think school uniforms are a good idea, even though most students hate them. Because in a way, it makes everyone at the school "equal", so those with less money, and therefore less "stylish" clothes won't feel left out as a result. But why don't American schools have this policy?

There's something that's really baffled me since i ever thought about the origins of words and phrases. i've searched up and asked friends and they've been confused about it as well, and there's no explaination about this phrase. It's a bit weird to ask, but where does the phrase "virtually" come from

as in i've got virtually nothing

no literally this would be as if you had nothing in something "virtual", but what it means is basically, or simply, as in "i've got near to nothing"

Please try to answer and if you can't, say what you think.
