depends on what state of mind the person is. sometimes we ask same questions over and over again and once we get answers we don't really get it. but i guess life is mysterious that's why we ask a lot of things to sustain us with answers we want. there's no stupid question unless objections are made.
just like your question by the way, why do you wanna know which ones stupid and which ones arent. that's perhaps the stupidiest question asked by anyone if i want to subject that as such.

Here's a list I've been making. These are some real "bonehead" questions that appear on Yahoo Answers.
1) Am I Pregnant? (Go see a Doctor)
2) Female Period and related questions (Go see a Doctor)
3) Help me with my homework? (Why not ask the Teacher for help?)
4) “Should I stay with my boyfriend/girlfriend”-type questions. (Socially immature)
5) “What’s your favorite food” questions (do they really care?)
6) Paris Hilton/Anna Nicole Smith/Lindsey Lohan/Britney Spears - type questions
(Who really cares if they’re in Jail, or Drug Rehabilitation (Rehab), arrested for DUI, or some other reason nobody is interested in or cares about?
7) A serious lack of “common-sense” type questions.
8) People who can’t write using correct spelling. (Real idiots or only pretending to be?)
9) People needing to use profanity when speaking (You can word your question or point in correct English)
10) Religion-bashing type of questions (Respect my beliefs; I’m mature enough to respect yours)
11) “What’s wrong with me” type of medical-related questions, listing an assortment of ailments or symptoms. (You really should see a Doctor, who’s qualified to diagnose your ailments)

but there are unnesecery questions.
such as: How do you go to sleep?
well even 1st born babies know how, so why would you be asking that question.
