For Example:
You are at Wal-Mart or Target, in your cart you have 50 or 60 cans of pet food and a large bag of Gravy Train.

Common sense says: This person has pets, feeds stray animals or is planning to donate this to the local SPCA.

For some reason this never fails: A clerk or person in line says, "Oh, do you have a _________?"( dog, cat, whatever)

Do you Smile, say, "Yes" and leave it at that.
OR?
Are you a "true-Smart-@ss", and come back with witty comments?

Our family has always been the latter
and felt that it was our duty to entertain.
My favorite comeback belongs to my late hubby.
"No, we run a Nursing Home."
He never cracked a smile and looked totally serious.
(It took everything I had to maintain composure.)

The pass grade is on of the latest assignments that i had worked on. Now, am very worried that it might hinder my chance of being invited to do my honours!!! Assignment 1 i got a C+ and assignment 2 a Pass grade. C=credit's range is 60-69% (thy take just 40% of this when calculating and for assignment 2 was a pass grad which is in the range of 50-59% this is 60% weitage when calculating the final mark. So 40% for the first and 60% for the 2nd, what would be my final grade you think? will i atleast get a overall credit or just a pass grade? Am so very sad... :( can you believe it... all my work has been distinctions and high distinction and now this has to happen :( please help!

Yikes! This is like High School! I'm 42, and I shake my head. The content is like middle school and I'm the only geek who answers questions. The kids look at me, like I'm weird and roll their eyes.

I'm just trying to get my paper, and I don't even want to go to class. I'm not trying to show off, this is just stuff I know.
I quit going to class because I can't stand the looks and the silence.
I know I don't belong. The class is stupid and all the teens stare at me, for a response. I'm not going to class. I can do the readings and show up for the last 2/3 of class.

I hate college. It's still the same ****, with the same stupid blondes, only I'm paying for it! WHAT!!!

know this is really just a personal decision...but words of wisdom or anything is greatly appreciated. I grew up my whole life just knowing I was going to be a doctor and in middle school decided on orthopedic surgery. I took a few clases in high school for anatomy and what not and really loved them But, as I started college I thought about doing marine biology. I took one class my freshman year of college about freshwater ecology and loved it...I did so well that my professor hired me for the summer to do some work out of state with him (which i also enjoyed very much) and we are getting some a papers published and everything..so I do really well in this environmental stuff. So I am a sophmore now and I need to decide what to do in life. I feel like I abandoned a medical career so fast, after years of planning, and now matter what I pursue I am always going to look back and say what if I had chosen to do the other career. Any advice??

Heres my situation, hoping you can give me some input and thoughts.....

I went to community college for 2 years and got max hours I can transfer to a 4 yr university. The drive to my new college will be about 45 minutes. I am thinking about getting an apartment closer to campus. Only problem is I just bought a new car and am paying 300 a month so I would probably have to take out extra money on my student loans to pay for the apartment (about 300 month after splitting cost with buddy).

UMSL has cheap tuition, about 4k a semester and I need about <2 years to finish my degree.

Stay at home and set some money aside or take out extra loans and be free?

I mean, most schools go for at least 8 hours a day, monday through friday, and then in our high school, there is at least 2 hours, AT LEAST, each night. Why do teachers load work on us after being in school for at 8 hours already?

I'm a sophmore in high school but I can't stop thinking about college. As for grades, im in AP classes (a year above in math and science) and have mostly As but a few Bs in my classes. Oh, and I'm not in the top 10%, more like 20%, but I go to a high school rated one of the top 100 in the nation, so hopefully that will be taken into account. I also do a few extracurriculars, cross country and student council, but not a whole lot. I'm really serious about getting into a good college, and I'd appreciate your help. Thanks!
