Everyone is a life long learner. When I was in college there were students between that ages of 16 and 82. Don't think of it as age, but as lessons learned. Humans have one ultimate goal in life, and that is to provide a better life for our children. We must start sometime! Good luck!

I would think that it was perfectly normal. There are tons of students around the age of 35 and older in my classes. I respect the older students for going back to college to obtain a degree. Plus, they're in college for the right reasons. They aren't going to goof off and spend all of their time partying. If you're considering going to college, don't let the age thing bother you!

I'd think he or she was about 10 years younger than me. These days, you will find people much older than 35 in college classes. Nobody really notices - unless you're dating a 17 year-old, they'll notice that....
Disadvantage - people expect you to get an A. No Bs and below for us 'old folk' because we know better......

I always have at least 1 "older" student in my classes. I think it's good that they've either decided to go back to school, or to go to school for the first time. They definitely are helpful when it comes to getting another opinion.
There's actually been this one guy in lots of my classes (same major). He's in his 50's or 60's. Half the time I don't even think of him as this old person in my classes.

It's really not that uncommon. I have several adults in many of my classes. In truth, I'm usually so busy listening to the lecture, taking notes, or daydreaming to notice much about the other people. But hey, everyone who wants a degree has to go to college so you might as well start now. Nothing wrong with it at all.

It would seem kinda of wierd at first..but then again I go to a college of only about 1000 kids...so it is very easy to stick out here...but really props for finishing and it would probably only take about a week for it be totally normal

Kudos for finishing school. I have several friends and family members around the age of 30 who have just realized they hate their jobs and want to get a degree and do something else. It's never too late to change your life.

I disliked being 36 and back in college but I am sure the 18 year old sitting next to me in History and copying my test answers didn't mind.......
