She thinks that INFILTRATE means to plot on trying to get somebody in trouble. But here are the dictionary definitions:

The word "a" can be pronounced in a schwa sound, such as "uh" or it can be pronounced with the long "A" sound, as in "A"... Similarly, the word "the" can be pronounced with a schwa ending, as in "thuh" or it can have a long "E" sound in the end, as in "th E" is there some sort of rule as when you use which pronounciation?

More specifically, I want to go to UC Santa Cruz, but they do not offer a journalism/communications major. Will this hinder my ability to get a job in this field? I am really not quite sure if this is a major I would particularly like, but would probably feel more comfortable in going to UCSC if it's offered. Should I throw out UCSC as a college option?

She was busy preparing an early Malaysian lunch for us consisting of: rendang, lemang(“…they are glutinous rice with lemon, Alice.”), ketupat (“Malay rice dumpling, dear.”), dodol (“Haven’t you tasted it before? It’s a sticky and sweet rice flour snack), rojak (“Alice, you ask too many questions. Rojak is a Malaysian fruit salad that uses a spicy sauce. I’ve added peanuts and shrimp paste.”), and nasi lemak which was rice served with fishcake, anchovies, egg, and spicy sambal sauce.





Is it possible that I can include a direct speech/quote into a bracket as Ibu describes the Malay food to Alice?
