Since Amerivan Intercontinental University is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, you should have little trouble transferring your AIU Online credits to other regionally accredited schools.

How is American InterContinental University accredited?
Major universities in the United States can seek accreditation by six regional accrediting organizations. The regions are set up geographically, and colleges and universities are required to adhere to high-quality standards to maintain accreditation.

American InterContinental University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award Associate, Bachelor's, and Master's degrees. This umbrella accreditation includes the following branch campuses of the University: AIU Buckhead; AIU Dunwoody; AIU South Florida; AIU London; AIU Houston; AIU Los Angeles; AIU Online (originating in Illinois); and American University in Dubai.

This is what you need to tell your prospective university to see if AIU falls into their accredition policies.
If the accredition program AIU uses is not acceptable to your school of choice, you may need to find one that accepts their accredition.

Whether you got your degree online or at a traditional university is not the problem. What will cause you problems is the fact that AIU is really seen as more of a trade school, not an academic college. Just as you can't transfer courses like auto mechanics and hair styling courses taken at a traditional community college to a university, my guess is that you will have trouble with your AIU program. You should check with the school you are considering, but my guess is that most schools will not have articulation agreements with AIU; thus they won't transfer units taken there.

Antother on line university? Or a real university?

It depends on your grades, your major, the quality of the school you graduated from, the quality of the school you are applying to, and how admissions there evaluates all of that. Most highly rated schools would not consider you. Sorry. But that does not mean you cant get a degree.
