I realize that most medical schools only accept applicants under the age of 21 and at most 24 (rarely). I think it is ridiculous that they are not accepting mature/older students from universities. So what if someone had been planning out to become a doctor from Gr.7 and go into pre-med programs and turn out to be accepted, what about us? Older people who start to have this new passion of helping people and decide that they too want to become a doctor... and simply because we are older and more mature we cannot get in. I think it is really unfair, doesn't anyone agree? I know some people who had to join the army to get by to become a doctor and your RISKING your life because of the situation in Iraq. I don't think its fair (at all) that younger people should be the ones getting into medical school... its simply not fair and not mature!

My wife is a pharmacist at a V.A. Clinic. She is not making as much money working for them as she would at a retail pharmacy. The V.A. in Dayton is reviewing this. They want salaries from other pharmacists who are working in retail to compare to what they are paying. I was just wondering if you know of anyone who works as a pharmacist and if they are willing to tell the V.A. in Dayton what they make. I would not need to see it for myself, you would be e-mailing it directly to Dayton. You could even black out your name and personal information on the pay stub. If you are interested please contact me at ca_oss@yahoo.com. Thanks for the help!

im currently majoring in biology but thinking about switching my major over to psychology ( i was thinking of the health field before, its a long story). anyway, my university doesn't offer an early childhood education degree, only secondary education degrees, and i don't really want to transfer. i heard that you could earn your b.s. or b.a. and then get certified or get your masters...but then some other people also say that you must have a bachelor's in education. im really confused. i was thinking of doing a b.s. in psychology (i figured that my science courses from my bio degree shouldn't go to waste) and minoring in child studies (my college's version of "child development."). would this work? also, is it better to have a b.a. or a b.s., or does it not really matter? any info would help a lot. thanks!

Recently i have received acceptence letters from three of my top choice colleges.1.St.Johns University in NewYork, offering me a 10000 a year,40000 overall scholarship2.Morehouse in Atlanta offering me a full tuition scholarship and 3.Iowa State University offering me an overall scholarship of 28000.However I spoke with a navy recruit today and he was telling me about this navy program where the first year I would be doing navy training and taking some college classes and also so some nuclear propulsion classes on board the navy ship. Then the second, third, and forth year, not including graduate school I could go to any college of my chocie, all paid for fully no charge. But when I get out of college for how many ever years I spent there, including graduate years,I have to serve that many years in the navy. And plus I get a salary monthly from the time that I start, starting at about 4200 and it grows from there until the end.And when it ends i can stay in the navy or opt out. What should i do?
