Education & Reference - 15 March 2007

The prestigious school is very expensive and I would incur a lot of debt. The cheap school is mid-range in respectability, an average state school, but is cheap and offers a lot of financial aid as well.

I understand that future career (i.e. ability to repay loans and live a good life) has a lot to do with it, but I'm not sure what kind of job I want after school.

My homework was to find words that he made up or was the first one to use and figure out which play it was from. i found tons of words but i cant find which play its from. i need 3 word and 3 cliches. does anyone know a site to find out the plays?

I was just rejected from my dream school of UCSB. I already bought a wetsuit, a longboard, and a cruiser bike, so I am devastated. Now, I have to look to Davis or Irvine. I am a bio major and from the S.F. bay area. Can someone tell me some pros about both schools b/c all I have heard of Irvine is that there are a ton of asians and is a commuter school and that Davis is just boring in general. Which school has better parties? Please help me be a little more optimistic about the two schools I did get into. Any ways to cope with the rejection?

Do you think schools should have year round schooling?

Not as in everyday of the year. . But students would go to school for 45 days (9wks) and be home for 15 days (3 weeks)...
This is 45-15. There are other options like
60-20 or
90-30.
It gives you more more breaks through out the year. and not such a long summer. . .

my gpa overall for uc was i believe a 2.8..
1s on all aps (3 of them)

before people go off on me, i live in a vey disadvantaged household, lacking financial support...this was due to my mother's illness after my father's tragic death.

i have decided (although my acdemics were very difficult to obtain with the struggles i was battling with) i have exceeded in school by doing an excellent EC and leadership position for 4 years of my high school of that same EC..

my personal essay had shone them about everything of what ive been through but mostly how ive overcome this issue for the better."

im just waiting on uci....and im wondering what my chances are. people have said i had no chance, but i got into ucd right?

My best friend and I were talking about circumcision and we both agreed that it looks much nicer when a guy is but can you actually feel the difference when you have sex? We both agreed it is the same with a condom on but can u feel if he is circumcised when he doesn't where a condom?

The order of operations is, of course, PEMDAS,
Parenthesis,
Exponents
Multiplication and Division
Addition and Subtraction

But before students learn what exponents are, what does “E” stand for?

I seem to remember, long ago, before learning about exponents, “E” might have stood for something else but I cannot remember.
So what you learn the order of operations in 3rd of 4th grade (or whenever you learn it now-a-days) what do they tell the students “E” is....do they say it is exponents and leave it at that without an explanation, or do they substitute something else?

I have taken chorus most of the year this year and want to take it all year next year. In order to take chorus you have to get the chorus director to sign off on it and he has two options regular chorus or ensemble (which is higher). Well, most of my friends that are taking chorus next year got put in ensemble even one who I think is at my same level and not as commited to the chorus. I want to ask my director why he didn't put me in ensemble but I don't know how without sounding like I'm complaining. Can anyone help me?

The university that I attended sent part of my student financial aid back to the government. Is there any way I can get that money back to me. If not how can I not get charged for it?I needed that money and the school claimed that I didn't have the need for it and that it was against school policy and sent back my money without consulting me.
