Do you think schools should have year round schooling?

Not as in everyday of the year. . But students would go to school for 45 days (9wks) and be home for 15 days (3 weeks)...
This is 45-15. There are other options like
60-20 or
90-30.
It gives you more more breaks through out the year. and not such a long summer. . .

Please nothing rude. . .I really need this information..Thanks

I believe that kids are getting into more trouble with the time off over the summer, and maybe even forgetting what they previously learned. . They would still be in scholl the same amount of days.

I think students should have more vacation than the average working adult but they should go to school year round. I want kids to have time off to have fun and learn things you just can't learn in a classroom but shcool should mimic real life more. Getting out of school and going into the workplace is a shock for many people because school does so little to prepare you.

I am a teacher and I say NO to year round school. We are so fixated on the TEST that some gov't people thought would be a good idea that we are putting too much pressure on kids and not letting them just be kids. I've even seen them discussing 8 hour school days. Good grief...when do they get to just be at home or play in the yard? The WHOLE problem with kids not learning well enough is because MANY parents don't think their child's education has anything to do with them....they think it's all the school's problem.........a kid with parents who take an active part in his/her learning will always be ahead of the rest. They need to give up trying to fix it at the school level and begin educating parents on what exactly it means to BE a parent.

NO! I want my kids to have summers off to play and be free of homework and learning. Summer is for exploring and learning things you can't learn in a classroom.
Plus if it were year round more and more children would be left at home without supervision while the parents are working.

I would not want year long schooling because that is less summer vaction. And most of the schools in MA have no central air conditioning so people would be passing out on the 4th floor that im on.

My opinion is no. School puts a lot of stress on some kids, and they struggle through it already. They would be miserable if they had to go all year. Besides, if you went all year, you wouldn't have much free time, studying for tests and doing homework.
