Nowadays in schools, you find that there is no respect for the teachers at all. Teachers are in situation where they can do nothing if a pupil abuses them in any way. There is no discipline at all and the teachers can do nothing at all.

In the past, the cane was there where pupils respected their teachers and knew that if they did things that weren't right, they know what is coming. The can was effective then bceause it was the threat of the cane and then when you get home and you tell your parents what you have done, you get cane again.

In our modern society, the children have the power to a greater extent.

Our parents should take full responsibility for their children's actiopn. Children should be though respect and disciplined at home, You can't leave it for the schools to teahc your kids.

parents should be play the roles of parenst, not playing the role of friend.

Bringing the cane would be going back, we have hooligans and all sort that have no fear of authority

is it to you?
They actually did a study on this..and it was in the Smithsonian magazine at one time...although,I can't recall what year...but, my friends and I used to talk about this kind of stuff, way, way, way, before this article ever was published!

also what color does a word look like to you,and or what words look like their actions?
For me laugh...really does look like it is "laughing"!
and for other examples....the letter "C" I think would be in the color yellow and the number one would be in white!(Just to give you some of my thoughts here!) :-)

1. There are four people. Let's name them, in order, #1 #2 #3 #4.
2. #1 can't see anything because of the wall.
3. #4 can only see #3 and only sees a red hat (see the grey sight)
4. #3 can see the yellow hat.
5. #2 can only see the wall so it's hopeless

The answer is #3 but why?
Somehow, #3 can look at #2 but can someone please explain?

I am investigating the social practices surrounding Valentine’s Day and analyzing them in terms of the theories of Mauss' "The Gift." Anthropologists believe that gifts are a means of expressing and producing social relationships, but the dynamics of gift giving are never straightforward…indeed, many question whether a ‘pure’ uncalculated gift is even possible. And yet, in American culture, we believe that love is a sentiment that produces true expressions of generosity. My job is to explore how rituals, gift-giving, and consumer behavior surrounding Valentine’s Day structure romantic relationships and to what extent Mauss’ theory of reciprocity applies to gifts that are meant to express affection.
I am looking for people to interview about their experiences, gifts and other favors exchanged. So...please tell me about your Valentine's Day this year! How was it? What gifts were given and recieved? Anything else significant?
Thank you in advance for all of your help!!

I emailed my teacher because she told me if I needed any help with the questions to email her. Well I asked her the questions like I did and then I told her that I might not be at school the next day because I haven't been feeling good or anything but then I note that it shouldn't get that bad *Pukey feeling, headache that feels like someone is hitting me with a chair that sort of thing.* I jinxed it though. I feel like crud right now and I don't want to go to school or anything but I found out that my teacher didn't even email me. Is she thinking that I just dont' want to come and participate(live in front of people, Hate going on stage, she knows that.) and that i'm fakeing this? Should I just go anyways to proove her wrong. I don't have a fever but I puked a few times and starting to get Diarhea(sp?)
