This was the date of the Armistace at the end of the 1st World War. We observe 2 minutes' silence wherever we are at the time.

There is a special verse recited at this time also, before the Reveille, after the Last Post.

It goes like this:-

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We shall remember them.

That's why we celebrate Veteran's Day in the US on November 11th--when War War I ended.

well... on November 11 2006, time 11:00 A.M??

since i had an appointment in a clinic and school starts at 8:00, i got to school late, at 11:00.. yup.. thats wat happened..
