I heard you could use online tutors help, does anyone know about it?

I seen it on tv actually and this is my first year at Uni, Bachelor of Nursing and I was wondering when I have questions about writing my essays, or not understanding a subject, if there would be someone I could communicate with via e-mail, who could guide me trough that, or is there any other system similar to that?
