The proverb means that success breeds sucess. Any shortcuts any wrong doing in the process will be overlooked if a the task or job or enterprise is successfull. Any person who succeeds has so much of self confidence and esteem that he would succeed again

It means, everyone loves a winner. When one succeeds, it is a resounding success. All or nothing.
