I think that this proverb means that anything does not go as smoothly as success.

It is not a proverb...it was a quote by Oscar Wilde. The partial quote goes something like:

"moderation can be a fatal thing...nothing succeeds like excess".

I think it means that you can never really know what it feels like to succeed until you do it, implying that it's the time and effort that you invest in something that will make it a success.

this proverb in broad sense means if you are successful than every mistake done by you will be forgetten soon
a sucess in anyfield hides negativity of individuals an d sucess makes him supreme or commander, if not then definately controller of situation.

yeah, umm... i think you are confusing quotes, because there is a quote from scareface that has become very popular, "Nothing Exceeds Like Excess".
