In my school, there is a multiple choice English language proficiency test which puts you in any of six levels-one is the lowest, six is the highest. It has 30 questions with 4 multiple-choice answers for each. If you get a score of '7' out of 30, you are placed in level two. What is the chance of getting a '7' if you just fill in the answers randomly? And of 100 students who filled it in randomly, how many could be expected to get a '7' or higher?

i'm doing a paper in school on required college courses. some of my friends said that required classes in college are one of the reason's why they've been discouraged to attend (besides the obvious financial problem that keeps them from going as well) . they feel that they shouldn't have to take classes that are irrelavent to what they want they want to do and if they didn't have to take those type of courses that they wouldn't mind paying all that money to go since they really are going for what they want to be. so i need more opinions! help!!!

Why is it that when somebody says something that is familar to you, that you go 'that rings a bell!'

Or when someone is telling you something that seems like a fib, 'your pulling my leg!'.

What are they all about? Do they have a meaning?
