First, build a case that sex is an important part of marriage. Then you can argue "If sex is so important to a healthy marriage, shouldn't the couple know whether or not they're compatible sexually BEFORE they commit?" Not doing so is equivalent to arranged marriages...not knowing your spouse until your wedding day. Are arranged marriages considered wise in your country??

1. In my situation my penis was too long and sex was very uncomfortable for my wife, I tried to keep from hitting the cervix, but its difficult. Any side thoughts and trying to mechanically make certain there is no pain detracted from it. We broke up over this as we both have very high sex drives and were not compatible in this way...and I am not into non-monogamous marriage or cheating.

2. If either spouse has a higher sex drive than the other, there is the very real possibility of infidelity. If this was all part of the marriage agreement...no problem.

Even in Utah where I live though discouraged by the church, premarital sex is not looked down on by people here...and they are mormon! They don't even drink coffee! Do you live in the south east? I can't think of who has this belief that if you believe in premarital sex you're a wh*re.

So here is your angle. Sex is a strong physical and emotional need. If one of the members of the marriage is strongly dissatisfied with the sexual intimacy of the marriage...it increases the chances a thousandfold of an extra-marital affair...thus it CAUSES one of the spouses to become a wh*re, man or wife.

If you want statistics...find out how many marriages end in cheating or because of sex. These will be listed as 'irreconcilable differences' in the divorce papers.

I don't feel it is important. I just think it's become so common that the majority of people do not question it anymore. I do believe, however, that intimacy is important in ways other than physical intimacy in the forms of sex.

why is it important to have sex in a relationship before marriage??? you are supposed to wait until after marriage to have sex. granted that doesn't happen in today's society, but there are still some of us out there who waited to have sex until after we were married.
