NAZI is an abbreviation for "Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartie" which translated means "National Socialism" in German.
The movement was led by Adolf Hitler. Hitler's Party was actually founded at Munich by Drexler just after the end of world War I in 1919 as the German Labour Party. In 1920 the party adopted a programme the chief aims of which included the union of all Germans, abrogation of the Treaty of Versailles, persons of Aryan blood only to be members of the German nation, foreign nationals like the Jews to be excluded from Germany and other such extreme right wing and racialist policies.
From 1933 when Hitler came to power, no attempt at systematic socialism in the traditional sense was made, though economic initiative and control passed entirely to the state. Subsidiary organisations of the party of a compulsory character were the German Labour Front comprising all employees and the Hitler-jugend (Hitler Youth) and the party also organised its own military forces, the SA (Sturmabteilung) and the SS (Schutzstaffel, protective squadron). Persecution above all of Jews, but also of political dissidents and other religious communities now proceeded at pace.
The NAZIs remained in power thereafter until they were eventually overthrown by the allies in World War II, after which Germany was divided into East and West.

It depends on how deep you want to know about them. There is always plenty on the History Channel for instance.
For a much deeper introduction to the Nazis and the work try Alan Bullock's "Hitler, a Study in Tyrrany". This biography tells the story of the man who gave a small group of fascist losers after the First World War their rise to power and European destruction.
Also try searching on subjects like:
National Socialism
The SA (Brownshirts)
The SS
Mein Kampf
Lebensraum
Nazis and the Holocaust / The Final Solution
Nazis and race
German invasion of Poland
Invasion of France
The Battle of Britain
Operation Barbarossa - Invasion of Russia
War in North Africa
Battle of Stalingrad
Battle of Kursk
Invasion of Italy
D-Day
Fall of Berlin

You should try the library, there's heaps there. Basically they were Germans who believed in pure race - 100% germanic blood, and thought it was Ok to eradicate anyone of mixed or foreign blood.
They had a lot of interest before and since the Second World War. There's a whole section in the Forum in Norwich - probably not much use to you.

It may help if you spell Nazi correctly.
The first thing you need to find out about is the Rise of Nazism, try searching for that.
Also you could try searching for biographies on Hitler, Goerring, Himmler, Speer, etc. Search for Nuremberg rallies, Nuremberg trials. All these should find something.
If all else fails, go to the Library. Tons of stuff there.

Hi Kammy,
Further to the infomed answers above I think you also need to look at the fall of the Weimar Republic which is pretty much the starting point of all the problems with the Nazis and their push for power.

I suppose 'super chip' gave that answer in lieu of something more helpful.
Try Yahoo search it's very informative.Perhaps you could also search for Anton Drexler who was the founder of The German Workers Party which became the (NAZI) NSDAP but really I think Yahoo search will give you loads of information.

It depends on what you want to know about them.
Do you want to know about their origins and the rise of Nazism/Fascism/Hitler? Do you want to know what their policies were? Do you want to find out about the Holocaust and the 'Final Solution'? Or do you simply want to focus on their role in World War 2 and why it was so important they were defeated?
Firstly identify what area you want to focus on and then you should find it a lot easier to find out information. Also I would strongly recommend that for a v brief but decent overview you visit your local library and check out any almanacs/encylopaedias of the 20th Century.
Good luck!
