You can't learn from someone else's mistakes. You have to experience mistakes for yourself to learn from their lesson.

It means that we are living to learn lessons. All of our experiences can be seen as a lesson, the good ones and the bad ones. As we age and gain more experiences, we began to be able to see what are experiences have taught us. Furthermore, If we don't have many experiences (being at a younger age) it is much harder for us to understand that life is one lesson after the other because we haven't accumulated enough lessons/experiences to look back and reflect upon.

In order to learn lessons you must experience them as opposed to having someone tell you about them. A lesson learned from living it will stay with you much longer then one that you are told about.

C'mon, this is easy.
Every time you do something new, its a lesson. Sometimes, we don't get the lesson the first time, and have to do it again.
Its like the saying "Those who forget the past, are destined to repeat it".
