i would ask people in here and nobody can give me the right answers, so the computer keep giving me other problems until i get the one similar to the one i had wrong correct..helpppppppppppppppppp it only 2

type both problems in inequality form. solve the inequality for both..
5x+3 is the numerator and 6 is the deminator minus 2x-3 in the numerator and its over 5 in the denominator > and or = to 3.

next problem is..
2/5 (x+6)>1/4 ( 4x+2)

I asked a serious question about afterschool detention and the 2nd answer I got was from a teacher, putting words into my mouth and making it out like I was blaming my stepsons teacher for his actions. He forgot to turn in a couple of homework assignments and she gave him afterschool detention. I agree that school is important but for parents who leave for work at 7:00 am and don't get home till 6:00 pm and work over an hour from their childs school, leaving work early for detention seems extreme. I would have no problem leaving work if my children were sick or had an accident, but to have to leave work 2 hours early so my stepson can stay 30 minutes after school is rediculous in my eyes. Teachers seem to want parents to revolve their lifestyles around what works best for the teacher. I don't think they are babysitters but I think that detention is something that can be done during school, just like it was done when I was a kid, just like it says can be done in the handbook.

I am starting high school in a small town w/ very few Jewish people (that I know of). I'm not very religious, but my mom says to ask anyone that I think may be Jewish if they are and then invite them over to the house.

So how do I know? I don't understand because what if someone is half Jewish and their last name won't sound Jewish. Also the last girl I asked was Italian and she was really rude about it too.

Dear Diary,
Tomorrow will be the first day of my junior high school, I'm so excited ! But I still miss my friends in my primary school, especially Alex Rider and Alicia Lohan. We have known each other since we were in the third grade, so it's really hard to let us say good bye.
I think I'm well prepared for tomorrow, I have got all the stationarys and some jotters that I needed. I just hate the idea of wearing uniform, I think uniforms are ugly! I just wish I was born in the United states, in the United States you don't have to wear those stupid , furry uniforms! I'm getting a bit nervous about tomorrow, cause there are a lot of people in the school that I don't know.
One thing that made me upset was that there are only ten or eleven people in my class. I wish there would be more people so the I can feel much less lonely, or I can say that there arn't much competitor in my class so it's pretty easy to get the first place.

My 12 yr. old stepsons math teacher gave him afterschool detention. She basically just sent a letter home Friday saying the he has afterschool detention Monday and to have him picked up at 3:45. We don't pick him up, he rides the bus to a neighbors house, because we don't get home any sooner than 6:00. This has made me and my husband furious. It seems like the teacher has no sympathy for working parents in handling detention this way. She should have spoken to us at the beginning of school and asked us if after school detention would be a problem for us. We have to both work to support our kids and it seems like the teacher just thinks that we should drop what we are doing, leave work and come to the school whenever she wants us to, and is not concerned with whether or not it is difficult for us or not. Do you do this with your students, and how should we calmly handle this?

I just graduated a year ago in May. This year will be my 2nd year of teaching 4th grade and I love it. I have always thought I would get my masters one day, but I have heard it's ridiculous to get it in just "Education."

My question is, if your degree was El Ed, what did/would you get your masters in? Why? Is it really worth it (career/paycheck-wise) I don't think I want to puruse anything else in my career other than to be a teacher, so I wouldn't go after Administration, for example.

Also, I have this year and next year to complete successfully before I have tenure. Do I need to wait longer to obtain my masters?

My friends at school have mixed opinions and haven't been much assistance. Thanks for your input!
