Hi. My family and I live in Ghana and my children attend school here (ages 11, 8 and 5). Obviously, they are not taught American history in school. My concern is when we return to NJ in a few year's time, my children will not do as well in American history or social studies. So, what are schools teaching 5th, 6th and 7th graders in history or social studies? Any websites I can visit that could help us?

We have limited access to US study books, and there are only a few books on homeschooling which appear to have very limited content on history.

Many thanks for your help.

Pay attention from here on out. Nobody says probably correctly! They say prolly, pry, probly, but rarely do you hear someone say pro-ba-bly!

Does anyone know how to spell properly, and use grammar correctly anymore? For goodness sakes, there is even a spell checker there, and hardly any questions I have come across have no spelling mistakes!

I work full time in a busy job. Unfortunately I also work shifts. This means I am unable to attend a GCSE/college course. I am learning purely from audio/visual CDs and DVDs, internet and coursebooks. I also read spanish newspapers (or try to!)
