Sorry....with your screen name I had to do this....in case the screen name has nothing to do with a college, I'll explain a little. See the wolverines are the University of Michigan football team who have an ongoing, heated rivalry with Ohio State Buckeyes. Its a rivalry that is in the books as the strongest and most heated in all of sports. So, being a Buckeye fan myself, and with your screen name and your question I would have to answer, jokingly, that you should change schools, cause Wolverines never learn!!! Have a great day!
And as a mother who has taught 3 kids ABC's, its reading and tracing letters, teaching them how to spell their name and Mom and Dad, and it will click pretty quick that these shapes stand for something. Toddlers that know their ABC's are just parroting a song, the meaning of them takes a little more practice.

A good mnemonic like a song often helps. If you hear the song while looking at the letters, it will help. Spaced repetition. Hear & see it for a short time, then take a break and come back later and do it again. It works.
