From what I understand, most undergradute universities don't offer a Pre-Med major, and most Pre-Med students major in Biology or Chemistry, take the MCATs, and apply to medical school. In Pakistan and India, high school students can take a comprehensive test (includes botany, zoology, chemistry, etc) and if they score high enough, they can go straight to medical school. Here in the U.S., most pre-med students don't seem to actually learn anything about medicine until medical school...
