I am in dire need of $10,000- I don't have great credit- and I am shopping for a place to get a loan. I am well aware my interest rates are going to be pretty high- and that's okay...
Does anyone know anything about TERI? Or any other suggestions?

TERI is a great company, popular for their competitive rates and flexibility (in the sense that they allow you to choose your lender) -- if they approve you, by all means, go with them. However, they're unlikely to approve someone with bad credit *unless* you have a creditworthy co-signer who also has proof of income/employment. Read TERI's eligibility criteria -- http://www.teri.org/loan-center/loan-programs/undergraduate/eligibility.asp -- and see if they're a match to you. If not, check out FinAid's list of popular lenders, read up on their loans, and pick one with less stringent credit criteria: http://www.finaid.com/loans/privatestudentloans.phtml

That's funny that you asked. I just submitted my application 2 minutes ago. I went to www.teri.org. They also are the only ones that give continuing education loans. Good Luck
