I was born Jewish and started to be raised Jewish but I was mostly raised Catholic. Now that I am in my 20s I am coming back to Judism. Recently the Rabbi of the synogue asked me if I would be interested in teaching the Sunday school and a Hebrew class...I am very interested in doing it but I'm not sure because of my limited background knowledge. What should I do?

Speak with the Rabbi about your concerns. If he still wants to hire you, then go for it!

I teach CCD at my Catholic church (and am a middle school teacher full time). I find that teaching is a great excuse to learn new things. Read, talk to other people, ask the kids about what they already know/are curious about. Your limited knowledge will make you eager to learn as well as teach. Take this opportunity!

don't be insecure, no matter learn as they learn, take your knowledge to get started and add to it as it goes on,if the rabbi has faith in you by asking, then have faith in yourself, GOD does why don't you?
