Hi. We have a Sanyo TV we have had about a year now I guess. We just moved into a new apartment a little over a week ago, and when we went to hook up the TV to the cable, the little deal you screw the cable onto broke out of the TV. Now we are sitting around watching DVDs (which is connected through RCA cables) over and over again. I was wondering if there is a way to hook up some bunny ears or something to the TV through RCA cables so we can at least get one or two channels (or at least the local news channel). Anything to watch other than DVDs!!!!! Thanks in advance!

I have an RCA Scenium D52w19. There is a chunk of the picture missing from the bottom, as if the picture was too big for the tv.

Is there a way to adjust the horizontal sync of the tv on my own?

I have a Philips 50db amplified antenna. I was setting it up with full amplification, and the picture on channel 2 (our weakest signal) was poor: bright squiggly lines running horizontally across the screen. Once I reduced the amplification from 50 db to 40 db the picture was much improved. How is one to know, short of trial and error what setting will be the best?

I have a 22" Magnavox CRT and the sound works fine for video games and DVD, but when I try to watch television the sound is so quiet that even turning it up all the way doesn't help. It has a headphone jack and I've plugged some computer speakers into it, but it doesn't do any good. Do I have a faulty coaxial input? Could it be the coaxial cable itself? Please help me out!

My husband bough an HDTV set. We don't have cable or satellite dish, just the local channels. So my husband has bought two antennas and put them on the roof.

But there is a mystery!
Some times we get HDTV and some times we don't. It's as if the TV had a mind of its own.
But when it works, it works great, meaning that the image is perfect.

So, to summarize:
1) The antenna must be oriented correctly, since we get the signal sometimes.
2) The TV set must work correctly, since the image is great.

What is the problem, then?

I would appreciate your help.

I have a Philips 27' Flat Screen CRT 27RF70S television. Recently, a problem has developed. I noticed it a couple of weeks ago. There are white scanlines running across the top of my screen usually only making a big difference when the screen is white. When it is dark, they are barely visible. It was just a couple of lines at the top at the beginning, but now it is progressing down the screen. I can barley even see the top half of my screen. When I turn it on, three lines, one red, one green, and one blue go across the screen. I have know idea what is going on and just want it fixed. The TV is only two years old so I don't know why the heck this is happening.

We need a new TV for our living room. Since signals are going to be in DIGITAL in 2009, is it a good idea to get a ANALOG set because alot of places are getting rid of them?? or go with a digital at a higher price.
We already have two analog sets , so would have to get a Digital to Analog box anyway. We have cable TV but don't have a cable box, but still get all of the channels we need. We don't have a need for 'renting' a box from the cable company just for HD or premium channels.
It dosen't matter to us weather we get a tube or plasma or whatever... we are on a fixed income and just want thing the way they are now, but don't want to have a new tv that is useless in Feb 2009. Please help if you have insite on this subject. Thanks
