my plasma screen tv has a scratch on it can i buy a new screen or do i have to buy a new tv?

I don't think I've seen a plasma with a separate screen on it....

It's one piece of glass....and if it's glass, a Q-Tip and some toothpaste rubbed on minor scratches can make them invisible....Rub for 15 to 40 minutes, and add toothpaste as needed....Colgate or Plain Gleem Paste has enough abrasives to polish the scratch...

if it is just a scratch and the screen is shiny u may be able to rub it out with something like DISPLEX.

If it is frosted looking like most LCD monitors that won't work.

otherwise it depends on the construction and if u can just swap out the top layer.
If it requires the whole screen to be replaced get a new TV.
The electronics are trival to the screen.
