I just purchased an HD polaroid tv and hooked up with an HDMI cable, however, it is not playing sound?

I was told HDMI cables has audio too--anyone no what I am doing wrong?

Yes, HDMI cables carry sound, but most TVs can't play Dolby Digital or DTS over HDMI.
Switch your source to PCM audio and you will be OK.
