my house has 3 tv's and we have verizon fio's..... i just got a tv in my room, theres a cable hookup in there but theres no cable activated....how much would it be to get another verizon box for that tv or can you have two different services.....i also dont care if i have basic cable, like channels 2 through 50 if thats what it is.....thanks

Sure, you can have different services, no law against it and no company can prohibit your choices. If you wanted, you could have both DirecTV and DISH Network for satellite TV. You'd just have two bills.

Ask Verizon about the cost of an extra box. No charge for asking (and I don't know). And ask cable about the cost of their MOST basic service. Although I'll bet that the add-on to your present service will be cheaper.

don't know about verizon
but basic channels are tunable directly on your tv if the set isn't real old. There is a switch for CABLE/ANTENNA.

U may be able to just split a line and connect that cable.
depends on how handy u are.
Verizon may do it for u for $$$
