Hi, I'm looking for a 40-50" HDTV. We're looking at a Samsung 42" DLP and a 42" Sony WEGA LCD. They are both the same resoloution and everything is the same except DLP vs. LCD. If you had to pick, would you buy LCD or DLP. The main use for the Tv will be watching racing, football, baseball, things like sportscenter, and some Dvds.

I have until March to buy a new Sony TV. (Giftcard only good for Sony) I don't know when I should buy a new one. Some friends say after turkey day, others after x-mas, still more say wait until the superbowl… Ideas?

People would not sell the receivers on eBay if they could not use them. How can I get a signal to the digital receiver from Comcast so I can have all the channels in my room without renting another receiver from Comcast. They rip you off every chance they get.

We have DirectTV satellite. We got a different TV and hooked it up. It works fine. We have another TV in the kitchen that doesn't have a reciever, we just watch whatever is on, on the other TV. It has to be on, if we want to watch the kitchen TV. The problem is, the TV in the kitchen only has snow now. I called DirectTV and they tried to figure out the problem but couldn't. The splitter is outside and is intact. Nothing was ever done to the kitchen TV. Any idea what the problem could be?

The electronic programme guide (EPG) has stopped displaying any programme information - it just says 'no event information' for all of the channels available. I can't find anything in the onscreen menus to fix this and retuning hasn't helped. Is this some kind of fault or is there a way to switch this information back on?

Am I right in thinking that you only pay a one off fee? If so how much is the fee?

Will the 'box' be ready for the new digital signal or will I still have to pay something to get that signal too?

What channels do you recieve?

if i have 3 tvs with scart connections and i connect the first to the second, and the second to the third, then connect a dvd player to the first tv, will the dvd players signal pass along the chain and display on each tv? i think this because surely the second tv is just displaying what is on the first tv, and the third tv is just displaying what is being shown on the second. if you understand my logic please answer!

I've heard from a few people that you need a 42" HDTV or bigger to notice much of a difference in quality when watching T.V, and I was wondering wether you would notice much difference when using a 32" HDTV with 1000:1 contrast ratio when playing on the 360. You see I can't fit a 42" in my room and I was wanting to know if there's any point in getting a 32" HDTVt to play on the 360. Here's the ones I was looking at:

Are these any good and would I notice the difference from SDTV ? :)
