For that size I would go with an LCD. And also for that size the two brands I would recommend are Vizio and Westinghouse. What is your max budget? With more info I can help you find the best TV that suits your needs.

YOU need to do research. Bulbs do not go out every year. The average life span on an LCD's lamp is about 60,000 hours. That will, on average, last you for about fifteen years.

Do not offer people "help" when you don't even know what you're talking about!!

Do you recommend flat reveal or flat panel? Flat reveal continues to be a CRT television and is dep by way of image tube. It in simple terms has a flat front floor, quite than a touch curved front. while you're in seek of a flat panel, you may return to a decision plasma vs lcd. I also have a 40" lcd JVC. Its sturdy. So are a number of the others. in simple terms be careful, a number of the greater inexpensive ones have a decrease decision, or they're greater definition quite than severe definition. severe definition will quickly be the common.

If you are thinking about buying a LCD or a Plama you need to really do the research on them because of the life on the bulbs that go in them. Also buy an extended warranty because the bulbs usually go out every year.

get a vizio plasma from Sams club...they are made by LG and have a Vizio label slapped on them and sent to Sams club and they sell for much less than the actual LG.
